Students explore different types of maps and learn concepts that enhance their understanding of a map’s function.  Using the neighborhood as resource, students learn about sequencing, landmarks, and design a neighborhood map.

Journey of a Seed

Students sort, classify, and dissect seeds and in an investigation of a seed’s life cycle. Visual arts activities, journal writing, and flower dissection enhance this exploration of plant growth and development.
