University Students

CityScience actively recruits at all local teachers colleges and provides great opportunities for graduate students interested in utilizing informal resources to teach science.  In the past, capstone projects have improved program evaluation and new curriculum has been written while students gain valuable experience working with a committed staff in the nonprofit sector.

College internships are not limited to those seeking careers in education.  Applications for the following positions are accepted on an ongoing basis:

Education Intern - Gain classroom experience by working along certified science teachers and other interns. Support professional development programs in a fast-paced school setting.

Communication Intern - Learn the ins and outs of social media, from creating tweets to managing campaigns. Help form a communication plan in a hands-on environment while learning a bit about the environment

Development Intern - Become a grant writer, gaining insights on how fundraising works at a nonprofit. Develop strategies to support the fundraising and financial responsibilities of CityScience.

Office Intern - Research and write school curricula for students, understanding the world of STEM education. Maintain the office environment by forming and executing organizational plans.
